Very strong, ideal for whipping but needs covering up from UV-rays. This thread is 5 times stronger than steel thread and does not melt even when heated up to 425°C continuously. Aramid / Kevlar® Thread reacts with UV light which will decrease in strength over time but does not affect its fire/temperature resistance. 50% loss of strength to an estimated 50 to 60 weeks of exposure to UV-rays.

Similar to cotton sewing thread but a lot stronger.

Please note the following before working with KEVLAR® 

  • KEVLAR® should be stored and used away from UV light.
