Super Lightweight Fairing Compound is the ideal low-density filler for creating a light, easily-worked fairing compound especially suited for fairings small and large. Super Lightweight Fairing Compound mixes with greater ease than Micro Balloons and is approximately 30% easier to sand. It feathers to a fine edge. Not recommended under dark paint or other surfaces subject to high temperatures.
This produces a smooth strong Lightweight sandable Filler and fairing compound. Holds a feathered edge well without crumbling.
Processing:
Mix a small amount of resin and correct ratio of hardener. Spoon out the required amount of fairing compound into a mixing pot and add a small amount of the Activated resin and hardener into the fairing compound, stir well to form a putty.
Add more or less of the Activated resin to control the viscosity of the mix.
Works well with Epoxy Resin (which can also be supplied).
Colour: Tan.
Lighter than micro balloons and easier to sand.
The Large Wooden Mixing / Filleting Spatulas (rounded ends) works well to create smooth fillets with super lightweight fairing compound & activated epoxy resin.
